Hyderabad Book Fair – 2009

24th Hyderabad Book Fair is here again!

The 24th edition of the Hyderabad Book Fair will be held between Dec 17 and Dec 27, 2009 at Peoples Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyd.

Timings:

Weekdays: 2.00 PM to 8.30 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 12.00 Noon to 9.00 PM

Hyderabad Book Fair General body meeting was held on 20th Sept, 2009 at Tourist Plaza Hotel Koti, Hyd. The new body has been elected for two years to organize 24th & 25th Hyderabad Book Fairs. The new body is headed by S Srinivasa Rao, R Hanumatha Rao and S Raja. See the full body.

The new body has taken the following decisions too.

Inauguration of the Book Fair will be on 17th Dec 2009 around 5.00 P.M.

Entry ticket: Rs.5/-

For students, Journalists, Teachers there is no entry fee. They can avail this facility by producing their ID cards at the entrance.

Every day society will organize programs like Book release function, meet the Author programs, Seminars, Honoring renowned literary people, Book hunting, etc on the Book Fair dais.

Book Fair society will also organize literary activities for children like Essay writing, Painting, Quiz, elocution in Telugu, Singing patriotic songs etc  between 2.p.m and 5.p.m.

For Stall aspirants

For those publishers who who want to rent a stall  in the Book Fair, we simplified the process. The Application from is now available for download. You can download, print and apply. Application should reach the Book Fair committee on or before 15th Dec 2009.

An important note for the Stall holders: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA)and Buddha Purnima Project (BPP) prohibited the polythene carry bags in the premises of the Hyderabad Book Fair. The society will provide paper bags to all stallholders at reasonable price.
